A series of grisly attacks on cats by someone with “a sick mind” has prompted officials in Mountain View to warn residents to watch their pets closely. One cat was skinned alive. Another lost limbs when it was dragged on pavement. Two were found in a plastic bag with a bottle of insecticide. In all, five cats have been mutilated, tortured or killed painfully in the last few weeks, police said.
