Lloyds Banking Group has announced another wave of branch closures, with over 130 high-street locations set to shut across the UK in 2025.
This decision, affecting Lloyds Bank, Halifax, and the Bank of Scotland, comes in response to a significant shift in consumer behaviour towards digital banking.
Starting in March, 20 branches will permanently close between March 3 and March 31.
The company has already shuttered more than 500 branches since June 2022, with a further 203 expected to close by 2026.
Despite the closures, the bank assures customers that alternative services such as mobile banking, online platforms, and community banking hubs will remain available to support their financial needs.
As banking continues to evolve, customers are encouraged to explore digital services while in-person banking remains available at the remaining branches.
