Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn portrayal in the DC Extended Universe media franchise is just one of many roles under her belt - but a poignant one at that.
And in a resurfaced video from 2019, the actress, 31, used a brief hiatus on the set of Birds Of Prey in Southern California to enchant a little girl - a Harley megafan - by speaking to her in character.
The child placed herself in prime position at the set's barriers in a bid to speak to heavily made-up Margot, who sported a quirky shirt, as well as bejewelled socks and sandals.
The girl could be heard enthusing: 'Harley Quinn!' before turning to the person filming, saying: 'She's not answering!'
The Australian actress - who was holding an umbrella - then turned around and greeted her with a smile and a simple 'hello.'
The inquisitive infant then quizzed: 'Where’s the joker?'
Quick-witted Margot replied: 'We're on a break!' which caused those around her to erupt into laughter.
Alluding to her split from onscreen love interest (Jared Leto) she added: 'It's really complicated,' before the video ended.
The sweet video reposted on YouTube was captioned: 'We were in SoCal downtown when we saw Margot Robbie and their crew filming the Birds of Prey movie.
'I decided to post her meeting and talking to my daughter because it popped up on my memories and my daughter is a HUGE HUGE FAN of Harley Quinn.'
Birds Of Prey was the eighth instalment in the DC Extended Universe and servesd as a spin-off and sequel to Suicide Squad (2016).
It grossed $201 million worldwide and was mostly well-received, with critics praising Margot's performance as Harley.
In total, Margot has made four appearances in her critically acclaimed role: Suicide Squad (2016), Birds Of Prey (2020), Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021) and The Suicide Squad, a standalone sequel to Suicide Squad (2021).
