Sam Fender fans in stitches over cheeky tour tickets detail on his website

Sam Fender is celebrating this week after his new album People Watching soared to the number one spot in the charts.

The 30-year-old singer, from North Shields, Tyne and Wear, already saw his debut album, Hypersonic Missiles, reach the top spot, as did his follow-up, Seventeen Going Under, so it's now a trio of hit records for the Geordie.

He's also set to perform at the BRIT Awards tonight (March 1), alongside stars such as JADE, Teddy Swims, Myles Smith and Sabrina Carpenter.

With the new album and tonight's performance on the horizon, many people will no doubt be searching for Sam Fender tour dates later on after hearing him sing. And if you do, you may notice a quirky little detail on the tour listings on his website.

The detail was spotted by fans who took to Reddit to post about it, as one music lover wrote: "Such an unnecessary detail, but I love him all the more for it."

They had circled the Newcastle dates on Sam's website which read 'sold oot' to mimic the accent, rather than 'sold out'.

The post has received more than 120 upvotes, as someone exclaimed: "Wey aye he’s a proper legend man! Should have said the Toon instead of Newcastle haha."

Despite the Newcastle dates being sold out, there are still some available for his London Stadium performance on June 6th.

Other UK dates include Manchester on August 16, followed by Edinburgh (August 22) and Belfast (August 28).

Globally, he's just about to take on a European leg of the tour, before heading to the US.

The tour is no doubt likely to be busy as People Watching has been named the the biggest opening week for a British album since Harry's House by Harry Styles, according to the Official Charts company, racking up 107,100 chart units in its first seven days.
